The mountain community of Batesville will again be celebrating its history and heritage on October 25th, 2008.  The 10th Annual Batesville Historic Celebration will be held at Sunburst Stables just south of Hwy 197 on St. Hwy. 255.  The one day celebration will take place from 10 am to 4 pm.
Ten years ago the Batesville community Association started the celebration as a way of supporting the fire department and at the same time celebrate the families and ancestors of this mountain community.
Demonstrators from Batesville and nearby communities show a glimpse of life in the early 1900s.  Even the music played all day is of the early 20th century.
The event and parking is free.  Call 706-947-1601 for additional information.
